Californian Hotspots For Your First Taste Of The Golden State

Californian Hotspots For Your First Taste Of The Golden State

California is one of the most visited cities in the USA. With its wealth of beautiful landscapes, historic cities and of course Hollywood movies and celebrity culture, the state has a lot to offer guests at hotels near Torrance California across nearly 424 thousand square kilometres. The question is, where does a first-timer start?

With so much to see and do, there are key attractions and areas that will provide a first-time visitor to California with a true taste of the state. Whether that be a key beach of its coastal surf culture or a romantic hotel package in wine country, these beautiful, exciting and informative destinations reveal the true face of the Golden State.

Hollywood

Hollywood

Otherwise known as “Tinsel Town”, Hollywood is among the most popular and well-known destinations in California. Though Hollywood has its own separate identity, Hollywood is in fact a district of Los Angeles that was incorporated back in 1903. The booming film industry, studios and “maps to the stars” of Hollywood are amongst its most prominent attractions, whilst Hollywood Boulevard and beautiful cultural institutions such as the Griffith Observatory are also must-visit features for nearby guests at the hotels near LA Convention Centre.

LA Theme Parks

LA Theme Parks

Wider Los Angeles offers a wealth of tourist opportunities too, especially for guests at hotels near Torrance CA. This is not least exemplified by the city’s network of world-class theme parks. The main attractions of these family-friendly amusement parks include Buena Park’s Disney World and Disney Californian Adventure, both historic staples of the Los Angeles tourist industry. Universal Studios also has a theme park that consists of several themed worlds. From The Wizarding World of Harry Potter to the Simpsons themed Springfield USA, there’s more than enough fun, excitement and heart-thumping adventure in LA to keep you roller coasting for weeks.

San Diego

San Diego

San Diego is among the most popular southern Californian destinations on account of its many family-friendly attractions, serene beaches and temperate weather. With one of the best-known zoos in the world, San Diego also hosts the famous Balboa Park, a stretch of parkland right in the heart of the city that hosts the likes of the Museum of Art, Natural History Museum and the Fleet Science Center.

San Francisco

San Francisco

Jumping up to the north of the state, San Francisco is home to quite possibly the most famous bridge in the world – the deep red Golden Gate Bridge. Whilst the hilly inner city might work up a sweat for walking explorers, the city hosts an eclectic menu of entertainment for families and friends alike whilst its Japanese and Asian cuisine rivals even that of the Japanese restaurants in Torrance, LA. From the 1873 established cable cars crisscrossing the hills of the city to the creepy tours of Alcatraz Island, San Francisco offers something truly out of the ordinary for visitors.

The Bay Area

And whilst you’re in San Francisco, make sure not to overlook the surrounding Bay area. San Francisco Bay encompasses nine different counties and is home to a beautiful collection of towns and cities that include the eponymous Ivy League affiliated Stanford, the fertile vineyards of Napa Valley and gorgeous national parks and nature reserves along its rugged and wild coastline. Whilst hotels near Redondo Beach offer luxury, relaxation and sun, those of San Francisco are reinvigorating and adventure-filled.
