Torrance, California Travel Hotel Reviews
My husband and I made a pit stop in LA for a day prior to heading out to Hawaii for our honeymoon and I'm so glad that we decided on staying at the Miyako Hybrid Hotel for our short stay. The hotel staff were all super friendly and attentive. The rooms were clean and nicely decorated. I loved their whole "green" concept and modern Japanese inspired theme! Parking was ample and free and the hotel was just a few blocks away from a major freeway. We would definitely stay here the next time we're back in LA!

It's a modern and clean Japanese style hotel. The rooms are well appointed, spacious, and the price is a good value. It's unique in that it features such luxuries as Japanese toilets (bidets). It's also very conveniently located next door to a Mitsuwa Japanese Supermarket and food court for the full experience.

If you are in Torrance, CA, this hotel would be my recommendation. It's a clean, well-appointed hotel and the staff was very pleasant. The porter was very personable as he took our bags to the room and explained the features and services available to us. The bathrooms are extremely well-equipped with a wonderful Japanese style shower/bath and the room had a small fridge, coffee maker/teas, bath slippers and a very comfortable bed. For the price point (booked on hotels.com), it was fantastic!

It's just the best. Why look for anything else? The rooms are immaculate. The lighting is perfect so nothing is stark or painful to look at when you're lying in bed. The rooms are incredibly quiet. Huge television. Big table with an ethernet cord if you want it. They put a power socket at the same level as the table so you don't have to bend down. Who thinks of these things? And the bathroom is perfect. Huge tub that you can just immerse yourself in or take a shower the Japanese way.
Sit down on the stool and let the super hot water soak over you. You will be incredibly clean and refreshed after a shower. For business or pleasure, you will not regret staying at the Miyako. Don't skip the buffet breakfast at Gonpachi. You will love it. It really is like being in Tokyo but better because people speak English and you can get a great omelet.
They also have a huge sliding door which is your window so you can get as much natural air as you want. No little tiny window with a bar to stop you from opening it all the way. You can open your sliding door all the way, step out and take in the air. It's perfect.

I stayed just one night here, but I was impressed by the design, service and, most of all, the environmental concerns. Immaculate room, quiet, and plenty of space. This to me is great pattern, which I hope more hotels will follow. It's close enough to the beach communities to be used for those visits too.
