Japanese Oasis in the Southland

In Torrance on business. Gracious service, fully bilingual staff. Hotel is crisp and modern in appearance inside and out. The "Hybrid" in the property name refers to the solar array on the roof and various energy and water-saving technologies at the hotel, and environmentally-friendly materials used in construction. The rooms are light and airy because of an almost floor-to-ceiling large window / slider opening onto narrow balconies; and the bathrooms are Japanese style, with the toilet and the bathing facilities (shower/roman shower and a luxuriously long and deep bathtub) partitioned off. Good restaurant / bar and a nice shop for sundries, drinks, and snacks, plus gym and spa, round out the amenities. 30 mins from airport

Three Night Perfect Visit

This hotel is the perfect place to stay when visiting the Los Angeles area. The hotel is immaculately clean, the rooms are comfortable and quiet, a good night's sleep is likely on comfortable beds, the bathroom is huge with tub, separate shower, separate toilet Area and sink. Every possible amenity and need can easily be taken care of conveniently. The hotel staff are very helpful and efficient. Please read reviews from my previous visits for information beyond what has been included in this review. We visit this hotel twice a year for pleasure; it is considered a premier hotel for business people, with wifi and other amenities. Each visit, the hotel seems to improve in some way. This visit, lunch and dinner room service is now offered in addition to breakfast. The hotel restaurant is also improving in terms of selection and quality of experience. This visit, I enjoyed one of the best tasting Salmon lunch entrees I have ever had. The Salmon was moist, fresh, and mildly seasoned to enhance the natural flavor. My companion and I also had the all-you-can eat breakfast one morning. The buffet includes traditional fare such as fresh berries and melon, pancakes and custom made omelettes, and traditional Japanese breakfast items such as fish, rice, and specially prepared egg. Another improvement this visit is TV operation. It is now easier, with more channels to choose from. Direct TV is the provider. The TV Japan premium channel is included on the menu of channels. Staff turnover at this hotel is low and the quality of employee is high. Check in and out is accomplished in as little as one minute. When we walk through the lobby, we are greeted as honored guests, not simply as customers. Each visit is like coming home. If we have a problem in the room, someone from maintenance comes to the room in less than ten minutes. This visit, we had no maintenance issues. Each room has a thermostat that the guest can control. We were able to warm and cool the room as needed. If you are a first time guest, ask for a room orientation. The tour takes about 5 minutes, with an explanation of how all the amenities work. This hotel has some unique features that reflect the smartly planned hotel room of the future. This is a genuine review based on an actual visit. This is our all time favorite place to stay. If you choose to try this hotel, may your visit be as enjoyable as every stay we have had

Beautiful Hotel Tucked in Downtown Torrance

What a wonderful experience in this beautifully decorated and very comfortable hotel in Torrance, California! The front desk was very pleasant and helpful. The room I was in was clean, comfortable and very beautifully decorated just like all the common areas, the lobby, the hallways, the elevators, the bar and the restaurant! The bartender, Keiko, was extremely talented and very personable! Thiis Hotel has some unusual features that helps it preserve electrical energy! It is located in an Asian section of Torrance and the theme is represented in its food selection at the restaurant! I would definitely book a stay at this hotel again

Next to Mitsuwa

Although this hotel was sorta far from the Packers game, we ended up choosing this place because it's next to Mitsuwa. Driving from Vegas checking in late, we had dinner at the hotel's restaurant. To our surprise, it was an excellent experience - from food to service. We ate there again after check-out, it was the same delightful experience as before. Room-service for breakfast was great! Japanese breakfast was so good, it can sustain you for the whole day! Room = 2 - comfy double beds with modern Japanese bathroom, mini-fridge, flat-screen with DirecTV, plenty of desk space, no USB hook-ups, 3 electrical outlets, large closet cabinet, a small safe, plenty of drawers for clothes, coffee maker, an electric kettle, slippers, free parking. Even though my husband slept soundly, noises from guests above woke me up several times (were they moving furniture at 5am?). Our main complaint is the a/c system - it takes a long time for it to cool. It kicks in around 2 am and continues on until you remove the room key from the slot, which turns off the lights and the a/c. We should have just left the room key in the slot and have the a/c running automatically while we were gone. We'd love to stay again at this hotel, but we really have to factor in the awful LA traffic. Yesterday on our way home to Vegas, we were stuck in traffic for 3 hrs. from Torrance just to get to I-15N. From I-15N, it's another 4.5 hrs drive for us. Overall, this is a great hotel. It's in a nice, safe area and nearby a major mall

Best Japanese style bath

Stayed one night and hotel was interesting mix of Japanese and Western decor. Room was large and comfortable with nice furnishing but I loved the Japanese style bath which included separate tub and shower in same bathroom, and seperate toilet in water closet. The bathroom allows for Japanese style initial washing in the shower area before entering the tub for soaking although the tub can also be used Western style. Hotel doesn't have much of a view because it's in an business park area, but it's conveniently located next to a Japanese department store where you must go for various food court offerings (ramen, sushi, izakaya) or pre-made bento boxes and sushi. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. This hotel was evidently built to cater to the businessmen visiting Japanese-based companies in the area so although the amenities are nice, it lacks the Little Tokyo location and ambience of the sister Miyako Hotel there
